Dr. Charles Serhan, Harvard Medical School
Charles Serhan is one of the world’s leading researchers on the role of resolvins in the reduction of resolution of inflammation. He is the Simon Gelman Professor of Anesthesia at the Harvard Medical School and director of the Center of Experimental Therapeutics and Reperfusion Injury at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He received the International Eicosanoid Research Foundation’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2017. He has authored over 500 scientific publications, written five books, and awarded over 200 patents.
Dr. Camillo Ricordi, University of Miami Medical School
Camillo Ricordi is one of the world’s leaders in cell transplantation to treat type 1 diabetes. He is the Stacy Joy Good man Professor of Surgery, Distinguished Professor of medicine, and Professor of biomedical engineering, microbiology, and immunology. He serves as scientific director and chief academic officer of the University of Miami Diabetes Research Institute. He was appointed to Italy’s Supreme Council of Health in 2019. He has authored over 1,170 scientific publications, been awarded 28 patents, and is the author The Healthspan Code published in 2022.
Dr. Carol Johnston, Arizona State University
Carol Johnston is a professor of Nutrition at Arizona State University and director of the Nutrition Program. She is a leading expert in functional foods. She received the Grace Goldsmith ward for significant achievements in nutrition by a scientist under 50 years, sponsored by the American College of Nutrition in 2004, and the Mark Bieber Professional Award, sponsored by the American College of Nutrition for academic accomplishments in 2008. Her research areas include vitamin C and dietary interventions in obesity and diabetes. She has more than 140 scientific publications.
