Jambalaya In The Zone

  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Cayenne pepper
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp Olive oil
  • 1/2 cup Onion (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup Green bell pepper (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup Celery (chopped)
  • 2 Tbsp Garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup Tomatoes (chopped)
  • 3 Bay leaves
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Hot sauce
  • 3/4 cup Zone PastaRx Orzo
  • 3 cups Chicken stock
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl combine shrimp, chicken, paprika, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper.
  2. In a large saucepan heat oil over high heat with onion, pepper, and celery for 3 minutes.
  3. Add garlic, tomatoes, bay leaves, Worcestershire, and hot sauce.
  4. Stir in PastaRx Orzo and slowly add broth.
  5. Reduce heat to medium and cook until PastaRx Orzo absorbs liquid and becomes tender, stirring occasionally, for about 15 minutes.
  6. Add shrimp and chicken, cook until meat is done for about 8 minutes.
  7. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
